Your comprehensive eye exam is a thorough examination of the health of the eye and its structures. This includes determination of glasses prescription, stereo testing (3D), color testing, eye muscle teaming/alignment, and intra-ocular pressure readings.
Evaluation of the retina, optic nerve, macula and blood vessels are important in detecting glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, and other retinal pathologies. Diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol may be seen during your eye exam and diagnosed before your primary care physician is aware of these existing conditions.
Dr. Pham also treats allergy related eye irritations, dry eye, conjunctivitis (pink eye) and removal of foreign bodies from the eye.
